Presentation: A Deeper Dive into Floating Offshore Wind
James Frolich, MBA, ENV SP, manages Advisian’s environmental and social practice in the US and provides technical leadership across Advisian/Worley global operations. He is a recognized expert in environmental and social management, permitting and impact assessment who speaks on the subject at conference and in the media around the world. He is an Envision Sustainability Professional and has 40 years of experience serving industry clients with strategic planning, regulatory management, CEQA and NEPA for energy projects in California and elsewhere, starting in the Santa Barbara Channel in the 1980s. He has directed offshore wind studies and permitting for development on the East Coast, West Coast, Gulf of Mexico, Great Lakes and Hawaii. Prior to joining Advisian he directed a contract to provide CEQA services to the CPUC, helped manage the revision of the SF Bay/Delta Plan at the California Water Board and led CEQA and NEPA activities for a major energy project in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Kern Counties.
He holds a BA in Economics and Environmental Planning from UC Davis and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He teaches environmental law at Berkeley as well.
