Senior Assistant Business Manager, IBEW Local Union 1245

Ralph is a third generation IBEW Journeyman Lineman who started his career in Outside Line Construction in 1983 before going to work for Florida Power & Light (FPL) in 1989. While at FPL he worked on both their Transmission Live-Line Barehand crews and distribution crews. In 1995 he moved away from South Florida, the place he had called home for the first 30 years of his life and moved to California to work for Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). During the 12 years at WAPA he worked as a Journeyman Lineman and an Occupational Safety & Health Specialist until coming on staff with Local Union 1245 in April of 2007. 

During his tenure with Local 1245, Ralph has held the titles of Business Representative, Senior Business Representative, Assistant Business Manager and in 2014, Senior Assistant Business Manager. His current responsibilities as a Senior Assistant Business Manager with Local 1245 are Outside Construction and Line Clearance Tree Trimming as well as Safety for all areas of Local 1245. He currently serves as a Trustee for the California-Nevada Joint Apprenticeship Training and Trust Fund as well as several committees where he either acts as Chairman, IBEW 1245 lead, or as a representative of the IBEW. In 2019 he was appointed by the California Senate to the Wildfire Safety Advisory Board, a position he still holds in addition to his work as Senior Assistant Business Manager with IBEW Local Union 1245.
