Cornelis PletCornelis Plet is Vice President of DNV’s Power System Advisory Group. Based in Toronto, Canada, he has over 11 years of professional experience in failure investigations, owners engineering, research and development, and testing of transmission equipment. His current focus is on supporting governments, TSOs, and developers to accelerate the deployment of renewables through the development of offshore power systems and multi-terminal HVDC transmission. Dr. Plet was coordinator of the EU funded ‘Progress on Meshed Offshore HVDC Transmission Networks’ project. He holds an MEng degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in power electronics, both from Imperial College London, and is an active member of CIGRE.
